After over 25 years of not having seen each other, we reconnected during my cross country trip from New York to New Mexico and around to San Antonio, Texas last year and again this year when I returned for the Wild Wicked Weekend.
Loretta took me to this great Mexican restaurant, Chachos, where they serve the tastiest Margaritas. Chachos serves so many Margaritas, they have them pre-mixed in one of those huge slushy machines.
It was a little strange to discover Chachos doesn’t have black olives to put on it’s nachos. According to Loretta, Mexicans don’t use black olives.
Spent the week enjoying time with authors Desiree Holt, Samantha Cayto, Dalton Diaz, Brenna Zinn and Regina Carlysle and so many other wonderful authors and readers.
San Antonio, Texas was amazing. I stayed at the Menger hotel directly across from the Alamo.
The Menger is known for it’s ghosts. I can tell you for a fact, they do have a few ghosts running around.
Yep, we have another snow day this Saturday. It follows the day of light rain which was preceded by a snow storm which layered another four inches followed by freezing rains. Sames, we’d due for more of the white stuff and freezing temperatures for the coming week.
I feel sorry for my partner and friends who remain behind in the cold while I go off to warmer climates in San Antonio, Texas to enjoy the Wild Wicked Weekend with Desiree Holt, Samantha Cayto and more.
I’ll make sure to let you know if they really do grow them bigger in Texas. Desiree promised me a lickable cowboy for the weekend’s entertainment.
I woke up at 3 a.m. and couldn’t do back to sleep so just started working on BDSM WRITERS CON. There’s always tons of things to do.
However it was wonderful to see the sunrise. To hear the birds calling to each other.
The way the snow coats the trees, icicles hanging from it.
I just keep hearing in my head the old Army advertising, “We do more before 8:00 a.m. than most people do all do.”. Yet that’s my life at the moment. Almost thirty years later and I’m still having Army moments.
This year for BDSM Writers Con, novice and aspiring authors will be paired up with a veteran authors such as Desiree Holt, Marla Monroe, Destiny Blaine and more to help them navigate through the stumbling blocks of publishing. This includes assistance with writing a query letter, publisher information, marketing ideas, and more.
